Meanwhile, a planned burn-off is still underway in the Pacific Pines Parklands, with Gold Coasters warned not to be alarmed if they see or smell smoke in the area.
The burn is happening between Midway Terrace and Pacific Pines Boulevard until Friday.
Queensland Fire and Emergency Services says residents may be affected by smoke, with locals urged to close all windows and doors and to keep respiratory medication close by.
Motorists travelling through the area are also being warned that smoke may decrease visibility on roads and are being advised to drive with caution and to conditions.
Another planned burn is scheduled to take place this weekend in Willow Vale.
It’s understood crews will assist “private landowners” to conduct a hazard reduction burn near Gerrale Drive and Fairview Drive on Saturday.
Locals are being warned smoke may affect surrounding areas, including Upper Coomera, Pimpama, Ormeau and Willow Vale.
