Crikey! The Irwin family is returning to our TV screens

Get ready for plenty of ‘crikeys’ and khaki exploding on your TV screen, with Australia’s favourite wildlife warriors to feature in a new reality series.

Crikey! It’s the Irwins will premiere on Animal Planet next month, following the unusual ‘day job’ of the tight-knit family of three, Terri, Bindi and Robert, who operate Australia Zoo on the Sunshine Coast.

Bindi gave her Instagram followers a sneak peek at the new show on Wednesday when she shared the commercial for the series.

Steve Irwin died in 2006 at the age of 44, when he was attacked by a stingray off the Queensland coast.

In the years prior, he and wife Terri, now 54, had become a worldwide sensation through their own TV show The Crocodile Hunter.

Since graduating from University in 2003, Rachel has worked in radio in a variety of roles including announcer, journalist and copywriter. The crazy world of radio has taken her from her hometown of Toowoomba to Wollongong, Sydney, Brisbane and finally the Gold Coast when in 2009 she started writing and presenting news with Hot Tomato and myGC.com.au.
