Crime scene declared after man shot

A MAN has been taken to hospital after being gunned down at Beverly Hills, in Sydney’s south.

Police say the man, believed to be aged in his 30s, was found with a gunshot wound to his thigh on Hampden Street about 11.15am on Thursday.

The victim was treated by paramedics at the scene before being taken to St George Hospital. His current condition is not known.


Police have swooped on the area in search for the shooter, who remains at large.

They have established a crime scene on Hampden Road, which has been closed to all traffic.

The exact circumstances surrounding the incident are not yet known.

Members of the public are being urged to avoid the area.
