A CRIME scene has been set up on a suburban street in Cairns after the body of a man was found lying on the road early this morning.
Officers were called to a Hunt Street residence in Manunda around 4am where they located a young man, who had significant injuries, lying on the roadway.
It’s understood police immediately began CPR until paramedics arrived on scene.

Sadly, the man was pronounced deceased.
A crime scene has now been declared, with detectives treating the death as suspicious.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has any information that could assist with investigations to come forward.
