THE body of a man, 57, has been recovered after he was eaten by a crocodile during a fishing trip in the Northern Territory on Monday afternoon.
The man waded into the crocodile-infested Adelaide River to unsnag his fishing line and was attacked in front of his wife. She rang for help.
The incident happened about 60 kilometres from Darwin.

“He was there with his wife and he was fishing on the water’s edge,” NT Police Superintendent Jo Foley told media following the attack.
“She left the scene because she saw this happen.”
