Cyclist hospitalised after car crash

A cyclist is in hospital with serious head injuries after being struck by a sedan in Logan.

Initial inquiries indicate the 55-year-old male cyclist was riding on Logan Road in Underwood before 7.10am on Saturday when he was struck by a Toyota Camry sedan as it exited another road.

He was thrown some distance and landed in an adjacent lane.

He was taken to the Princess Alexandria Hospital with serious head injuries.

The 29-year-old driver of the sedan was not injured in the crash.

Police are appealing with anyone who was in the area about the same time as the crash, and has dashcam footage, to come forward.
