Daytime temps to remain above 30C for the next four days

TEMPERATURES are tipped to soar above 30 degrees on the Gold Coast every day for the next four days before a cool change arrives later in the week.

It was a warm Saturday on the Coast, with the mercury maxing out at 29.8 degrees at The Spit about 12.40pm.

The Bureau of Meteorology says we can expect the warm weather to hang around until at least Wednesday.

It’ll be another hot and humid sunny day on Sunday, with tops of 31-33 degrees forecast right across the Coast.

The start of the working week will be even warmer though, with temperatures in Surfers Paradise forecast to climb to 32 degrees on Monday, and again on Tuesday.

It’ll be a degree or two warmer for residents further inland, particularly those in suburbs west of the M1.

Nights are also set to be balmy, with temperatures tipped to stay above 20 degrees after the sun goes down.

A southerly wind change is expected to cool things down dramatically and drop day and nighttime temperatures by at least six degrees from Thursday.
