A DOCTOR has been charged with sexually assaulting a patient in Central West New South Wales.
It’s alleged the 63-year-old man assaulted a 34-year-old woman during a consultation at a medical centre in Parkes on Thursday, August 20.
Following investigations, police arrested the man at Parkes Police Station on Wednesday.

In a statement on Friday, police confirmed the doctor had been charged with aggravated sexual assault (victim under authority of offender).
He has been released on bail and is due to front Parkes Local Court on October 3.
