Two people have been charged with manslaughter following the tragic death of a three-year-old boy on a bus in Cairns last week.

Police will allege the boy was picked up from a home in Mount Sheridan around 9.00am on Tuesday February 18, in order to attend a local daycare.

The boy was then allegedly left inside the vehicle unattended for a number of hours, before he was found dead along Stokes Street in Edmonton around 3.15pm.

This also happened at Arundel Good Start Centre. Luckily the child was found after a few hours and did not die. Absolutely outrageous that it could happen again with much worse consequences – they should shut down those centres!
