Passenger dies after suspected heart attack

A WOMAN has died after suffering a suspected heart attack in a car on the Gold Coast.

It happened on Pine Ridge Road, near Harbour Quays Drive, at Biggers Waters just before midday.

The exact circumstances surrounding the incident were not immediately known, but it’s believed the woman was a passenger in the car and collapsed after suffering a medical episode.

Sadly, the woman could not be saved and was pronounced deceased at the scene. Her age is not known.

The vehicle was reportedly seen moving erratically before it came to rest on the centre median strip.

A Queensland Ambulance spokesperson said three crews had initially been dispatched to the scene.

No further information was available at the time of writing.

NOTE: The woman was initially reported as being the driver of the car. It has since been revealed the woman was actually a passenger in the car and was not behind the wheel.
