Driver killed as out-of-control car rolls in Gold Coast Hinterland

THE Forensic Crash Unit is investigating what led to a fatal crash in the Gold Coast Hinterland.

Emergency services rushed to the scene in Numinbah Valley just after 7.15pm on Friday, amid reports a car had lost control on Nerang Murwillumbah Road.

Initial investigations suggest the vehicle was travelling south, when it rolled a number of times south of Pocket Road Bridge.

The male driver and sole occupant of the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene.
