Driver killed in single vehicle crash

A MAN has been killed after the van he was driving left the road and collided with a tree in Queensland.

It happened on Moore Park Road at Welcome Creek, near Bundaberg, about 7.30pm last night.

Police said the 43-year-old man was driving towards Moore Park Beach when his Ford van left the road and collided with a guidepost before slamming into a tree.

Sadly, the man was pronounced deceased at the scene. He was the only person travelling in the vehicle.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision.

They are appealing for anyone who may have information about the accident or relevant dash-cam footage to come forward and contact police.
