A NINETY-year-old man has been arrested in Florida for feeding the homeless.
Arnold Abbot serving a meal he had prepared to the homeless in Fort Lauderdale when he was arrested and charged along with two church ministers.
The arrest comes after the City of Fort Lauderdale, Florida recently changed laws around sharing food to the homeless.

Those wishing to distribute food to the homeless now must be 150 meters from any residential business, seek the permission of property owners, and provide portable toilets.
Abbot and the two ministers face 60 days in jail and a $500 fine for their crimes.
Mr Abbott told local TV network KHON2: “One of the police officers came over and said ‘Drop that plate right now,’ as if I was carrying a weapon,” he said.
