EMERGENCY crews rushed to a tavern on the Gold Coast overnight after a man reportedly fell several metres from a roof and onto rocks.

The fall happened at a location on Bundall Road in Bundall just before midnight.

Three Queensland Ambulance crews were called to the scene and treated the man, aged in his 40s, for arm and leg injuries.

Miraculously, he is understood to have escaped serious injury.

He has since been taken to Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.

There’s reports the man may have been trying to jump into the Nerang River and misjudged the distance.
