If you are a coffeeholic and are based down the southern end of the Gold Coast, you are in for a mighty fine treat this week!
Palm Beach’s newest café and dining addition, Mr Bengel, has opened its doors today and to celebrate they are offering locals free coffee this week!
Yep you read that correctly – you can score a FREE cup of joe by popping into the hip new beachside cafe between 6am to 9am until Friday.
Mr Bengal is the latest undertaking for local hospitality heavyweight Adam Haralampou, of Justin Lane and Harry’s Steak Bistro success. “Mr Bengel will be a friendly neighbourhood café with a super approachable offering and team,” he said. “We wanted to create a fun café that does really great coffee and food for a really great price. I don’t want it to be expensive or too cool or contrived – it will be absolutely and utterly local.”
Offering breakfast, coffee and lunch, the café will serve up morning classics such as eggs benedict, in-house bircher and a breakfast bowl. “I’m not trying to reinvent the wheel with breakfast,” Mr Haralampou said. “My view is that people don’t want to be experimental first thing in the morning – Mr Bengel’s breakfast will be good quality, straight-up, no fuss.”
The lunch menu will include a favourite from Harry’s offering – the famous Wagyu burger, featuring a mince patty made from offcuts of the rich and decadent beef.
Mr Bengel will open seven days a week from 6am until 2pm at 1099 Gold Coast Highway, Palm Beach.
