Fake ride-share driver charged with sexually assaulting women in Qld

A 41-year-old man who pretended to be a ride-share driver has been charged with allegedly sexually assaulting two more women.

It’s alleged the man sexually assaulted a 25-year-old woman on September 2 and a 32-year-old woman on September 8, in both instances posing as a ride-share driver.

The man collected the women from the Fortitude Valley area and sexually assaulted them whilst transporting them home, police allege.

He’s been charged with three counts of sexual assault and one count each of deprivation of liberty and common assault.

The man, who police say is from Carindale, appeared in Brisbane Magistrates Court on September 22 in relation to two other alleged sexual assaults and remains in custody.

He’s due to appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court again on November 14.
