Ferocious car fire blankets Gold Coast suburb in smoke

Queensland fire crews have rushed to a raging car fire on the Gold Coast this morning.

The hatchback erupted into flames on Anne Avenue in Broadbeach just before 6.00am, with residents waking to thick smoke blanketing the suburb.

The blaze has since been extinguished, however the vehicle has been completely burnt out.


Luckily, no one is believed to have been injured.

A police spokesperson said officers remain on scene working to investigate the cause of the fire.

It’s not yet known whether the blaze is suspicious.
