UPDATE @ 12.00pm: A Southport house has been completely gutted by fire on the Gold Coast.
The blaze broke out at the Waverly Street home, near Ferry Road, around 10.45am on Tuesday.
At least five fire crews worked to extinguish the flames, which totally destroyed the home.

No one is believed to have been injured.
Detectives and Fire Investigators remain on scene examining what’s left of the house.
It’s not yet known what sparked the blaze.
EARLIER @ 11.00am: FIRE crews are currently on scene at a large house fire in Southport on the Gold Coast.
The blaze is understood to have broken out at a home on Waverly Street, near Ferry Road around 10.45am.
A Queensland Fire and Emergency spokesperson said the house was fully involved when firies arrived.
At least five fire crews are working to extinguish the flames.
Witnesses have told myGC large plumes of smoke can be seen billowing into the air.
