Fire crews continue to monitor Scenic Rim blaze

Queensland Fire and Emergency Services have confirmed that crews are continuing to monitor a bushfire burning in the Scenic Rim.

The fire broke out near Left Hand Branch and Kerry Road at Darlington on Wednesday.

QFES said in a statement a short time ago that the blaze is not posing a threat to property at this time, however they have urged Darlington and Numinbah Valley residents to close their windows and doors as they may be affected by smoke haze throughout the day.

Crews will conduct back-burning operations in the area today.

“Motorists should drive with caution and to conditions,” QFES said.

“If residents are concerned their property is under threat they are advised to call Triple Zero (000) immediately.”
