UPDATE @ 3.15pm | A grass fire that broke out in Upper Coomera earlier on Wednesday morning has now been extinguished.
The blaze erupted near Otmoor Road and Tamborine Oxenford Road around 11.00am, however fire crews were quick to bring it under control, with the flames now completely out.
Meanwhile, seven crews are still battling a large grass fire that’s burning near Tarwonga Road in Bahrs Scrub.

It broke out around 11.40am on Wednesday and continues to burn, however is not threatening any property.
People in the area are being warned they will be affected by smoke, which will reduce visibility and air quality.
The fire remains at Advice level, with residents being told to keep up to date and decide what actions to take if the situation changes.
EARLIER @ 11.45am | Fire crews have rushed to the scene of two separate fires burning on the Gold Coast and Logan.
One of the blazes has broken out near Otmoor Road and Tamborine Oxenford Road in Upper Coomera.
Four crews are currently en-route.
Meanwhile, multiple Queensland Fire and Emergency Services crews are on scene at a large vegetation fire burning near Tarwonga Road in Bahrs Scrub.
Crews are working to contain the fire and there is no threat to any property at this time, however residents are being urged to keep up to date and decide what actions to take if the situation changes.
Smoke is affecting the surrounding area, with people urged to close windows and doors and keep respiratory medication close by.
Motorists are also being asked to drive with caution and to conditions.
