Five men on the run after violent burglary on the Gold Coast

POLICE are on the hunt for a group of men, following a burglary with violence incident in Elanora overnight.

Five men, wearing balaclavas, allegedly broke into a home on Bunbury Court around 1.30am.

It’s believed they were armed with a variety of weapons, including a baseball bat.

Three occupants – aged around 19 and 20 years old – were in the house at the time.

One of them was struck in the leg with the baseball bat.

Police say the group of men stormed the house, demanding property, before stealing a silver sedan and fleeing the scene.

The 1999 Proton Persona has the Queensland registration 096 LZA.

Police are urging anyone with information about the group or their whereabouts to come forward immediately.

Investigations are underway.
