Former Dreamworld employee to give evidence at Coronial Inquiry

A sacked Dreamworld employee who witnessed an accident extremely similar to the one that claimed the lives of four people in 2016 will front a Coronial Inquiry today.

Stephen Buss worked at the theme park in 2014 when two rafts collided on the Thunder River Rapids ride.

He was fired following an internal investigation into the theme park.

On October 25, 2016, there was a similar incident when the raft containing Cindy Low, Kate
Goodchild, her brother Luke Dorsett and his partner Roozi Araghi collided with another, moments before they died.

The ride has come under the spotlight during the inquiry and more safety officers and control room staff are expected to give evidence today.

Yesterday, maintenance planner Grant Naumann told the court that in hindsight the theme park failed to identify safety issues on the Thunder River Rapids Ride.
