G20: Australia rejects Obama’s request to blow up Brisbane roundabout

IT has been revealed that the US Secret Service wants to blow up a roundabout outside Brisbane’s University of Queensland so that Obama’s presidential motorcade will not have to slow down.

President Obama is scheduled to touch down in Brisbane on Saturday morning where he will address a global audience from the St Lucia campus.

The Australian today reported authorities rejected the president’s request to fund the destruction and rebuilding of a troublesome roundabout near the University to make way for his armoured Cadillac.

It comes after the president’s eight tonne limo got stuck on a ramp while exiting the US Embassy during a tour of Ireland in 2011.

Cargo planes loaded with the president’s motorcade fleet were expected to land in Brisbane today ahead of his weekend arrival.
