MOTORISTS heading into Brisbane are being reminded there will be a large number of lane closures to look out for due to the G20 Summit.
RACQ’s Lauren Ritchie said sections of road near the Marriot Hotel have been shut off to inbound traffic, with US President Barack Obama set to stay there for the weekend’s event.
“Ivory Street between Brunswick and Ann Streets and the Story Bridge and Ann Street is closed,” Ms Ritchie said.

“We suggest you take the alternative route along Ann Street into Wharf Street or Creek Street to get around these closures.
“These roads will remain closed until the G20 leaders return home next Monday.”
Ms Ritchie said further road closures around the Brisbane Convention Centre had also taken effect overnight.
“If you are planning on driving through the CBD or Southbank areas make sure you plan ahead and familiarise yourself with the road closures,” she said.
