Gas leak shuts down Coomera streets

UPDATE: FIRE crews have given the area the all clear and streets have re-opened following a gas leak.

Emergency crews shut down streets around San Gabriel Crescent this morning, after a construction worker reportedly hit a pipe.

Everything is said to be fine in the area now.

EARLIER: POLICE have shut down streets in Upper Coomera due to a gas leak.

Rose Valley way between Reserve Road and Santa Clara Rise has been closed off to motorists as they work to fix the issue on San Gabriel Crescent.

3 fire crews have been called in after a construction worker reportedly accidentally cut the gas pipe just before 8am.

Police and ambulance crews are also on scene.

Emergency services are on scene working to fix the issue.

Please allow emergency service vehicles to make their way through traffic.
