Get an insight into working with animals at Curumbin Wildlife Sanctuary’s careers expo

ALWAYS wanted to work with animals?

This Friday, Gold Coasters can get a taste of what it’s like to work with animal at the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary’s wildlife and animal expo.

The expo is not just for school students, with locals keen to pursue a career in an animal-related field or thinking of becoming a volunteer encouraged to attend.

The day will provide information about careers associated with working with animals, advice on subject choice and educational courses, presentations and opportunities to meet people with experience in the field.

There will also be workshops from various organizations including Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary, the RSPCA, Gold Coast City Council and Wildlife Preservation Society, as well as a number of Universities and TAFES that offer animal related courses.

Students and members of the public attending the careers day will also have the opportunity to enroll in volunteer programs at Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary.

COST:  $5 registration (includes a goody bag), discounted entry available to the park – $15.  Behind the scenes tours, animal encounters and photos are also bookable on the day at additional cost
