Girl killed, six injured in horror crash in Victoria

A seven-year-old girl is dead and six others injured following a horror head-on crash in Victoria’s east.

The two-vehicle accident happened at Brown Coalmine Road near Yallourn North around 3.30pm on Monday.

A 29-year-old woman and a seven-year-old girl, who were travelling in a Holden commodore, were airlifted to hospital.


Sadly the girl passed away in hospital, while the woman remains in a critical condition with serious injuries to her ankle, pelvis, chest and neck.

Two other children in the Holden, a five-year-old boy and a three-year-old girl, were taken to the Latrobe regional hospital with minor injuries.

The occupants of the other vehicle involved in the crash, a 49-year-old woman and two 15-year-old boys, were taken to the Latrobe regional hospital in a stable condition.
