Gold Coast Council takes the crown for most complaints in the southeast

It’s been revealed that the City of Gold Coast Council has received the most amount of complaints compared to any other council in Queensland.

A whopping 177 complaints were lodged with the independent assessor in the last financial year.

The stats put the Gold Coast leagues in front of second placed Morton Bay, which only clocked up 80.

Even Logan and Ipswich (both dissolved councils) received less than 100 complaints between them.

Newscorp officially revealed the figures this morning, ahead of data set to be released from the Office of the Independent Assessor today.

The Gold Coast lead is understood to be a misleading figure, given that more than 80 complaints were received in December 2018 alone.

Most of those complaints were to do with environmental issues surrounding the Black Swan Lake debacle.

I placed a complaint with City of Gold Coast about bullying and patronising behaviour by a City of Council Officer (witnessed by independant onlooker) 56 days ago- no reply.
I have re-sent the complaint, attempted to speak to council about the incident but just keep getting directed to send emails.
