Eurovision – Australia Decides – Gold Coast 2019
Australia will compete in the Eurovision Song Contest for the fifth consecutive year in 2019 and for the first time broadcaster SBS is letting the Australian public help decide who our representative will be. A series of ticketed shows will take place on the Gold Coast on the 8th and 9th of February 2019, with the Live TV Final broadcast exclusively on SBS on Saturday the 9th of February 2019. Myf Warhust and Joel Creasey, Australia’s commentators at the Eurovision Song Contest, will host the spectacle.
Seven of the ten artists have been announced: award-winning singer-songwriter Kate Miller-Heidke, much-loved indie pop band Sheppard, pop-opera star Mark Vincent, modern electric-soul duo Electric Fields, legendary drag queen and reality television veteran Courtney Act, charismatic pop star Aydan, and a new discovery, 16-year-old singer-songwriter Leea Nanos. The final three artists will be announced soon.
