During the war, a plane carrying a group of British schoolboys is shot down over the Pacific. The pilot of the plane is killed, but many of the boys survive the crash and find themselves deserted on an uninhabited island, where they are alone without adult supervision. While Ralph, the reasonable leader, tries to maintain order and chances of rescue, his rival, Jack, and his followers slowly descend into savagery and cruelty as they give in to their primal and bloodthirsty instincts…

‘LORD OF THE FLIES’ crash lands into Beenleigh this January! With only 7 performances, this show tells an epic tale of endurance, masculinity and mateship.

Beenleigh Theatre Group is thrilled to host this edgy production on its stage and welcome new director, Bradley Chapman, assisted with fellow director Matt Steenson. Both men have won numerous awards for their endeavours. As drama educators, they’re excited to embark on this challenging and intense opportunity.

‘LORD OF THE FLIES’ stars a cast of twelve adolescent boys, ranging in from 9-years-old to 22-years-old. These young men are rising theatrical stars within this industry. They’re talented, brave and determined to bring justice to William Golding’s classic novel and Nigel Williams stage adaptation.

‘Lord of the Flies’ will play to audiences from Friday, 19 January 2018 until Saturday, 3 February 2018. Performance times vary between Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings, with shows commencing at 7:30 pm (Friday and Sunday) and 6:30 pm (Sundays).
