A Gold Coast man’s still shown up to work today – even after winning $2 million on Keno over the weekend.

The southern Gold Coast resident held a Keno 10 Spot winning entry in game 395 on Friday night, which scored him $2,021,111.20.

The ticket was purchased at Palm Beach Hotel, in Palm Beach.

The new multi-millionaire confirmed the news with a Keno official this morning, and expects it will be difficult to concentrate at work today.

“I checked my ticket the following day, on Saturday,” he explained.

“I was in absolute shock. I had no idea the jackpot prize had gone off and no idea I had won a multi-million-dollar prize!

“I only play every now and again when I’m out for dinner with my friends and family.

“It’s still sinking in. I really can’t believe it. I feel incredibly blessed. It’s going to really change my life!

“It’s going to be hard to concentrate today.

“I will definitely keep working and we might use the prize to do some renovations around our home.

“And the rest I will invest very wisely,” he said.

Palm Beach Hotel assistant manager Mark Symons says it felt great to sell the winning Keno entry.

“There was so much excitement in the venue when we saw the Keno 10 Spot prize was won in our venue,” he explained.

“We’ve had a few huge Keno wins here over the years.

“It’s great to kick off the new year with this huge prize.

“Congratulations to our winner! We hope he really enjoys his prize!”
