UPDATE: A Mudgeeraba man has faced the Brisbane Magistrate’s Court charged with murdering a mother-of-four in the city’s east.
The man accused of killing Anthea Mari, 34, at her home in Norman Park on Tuesday, can’t be named for legal reasons.
Thursday’s appearance was a brief one.

His lawyer Adam Magill asked the magistrate to adjourn the case for one month.
The Gold Coast local was remanded in custody and will reappear on September 29.
EARLIER: The man accused of murder a Brisbane mother will front Court today on a number of charges.
The Gold Coast man was arrested and charged overnight with murder, deprivation of liberty, attempt to murder and rape offences.
The man was tracked to a Gold Coast property less than 24 hours after being named as a person of interest.
Police allege he was one of the last people to visit Anthea Mari before the 34-year-old mother of four died at her inner-city Brisbane home early on Tuesday.
EARLIER: THE man arrested in Gaven and taken into custody on Wednesday in relation to the death of a mother of four in Brisbane’s east, has been moved.
Nine News Brisbane tweeted the man has been taken from the Dutton Park police station to the Brisbane Watchhouse.

EARLIER: POLICE have taken a 38-year-old man into custody, in relation to their investigations into the suspicious death of a woman at Norman Park yesterday.
Around 10:30 am, the man was arrested in Nakula Street, Gaven.
He was reportedly involved in a tussle with a police dog during the arrest and suffered some bite wounds.
He was taken to Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.
EARLIER: IT has been revealed that the Gold Coast man wanted over the death of a woman from Brisbane’s east early Tuesday, is a convicted armed robber.
News Limited reported that the man served time for holding up a bank and a TAB.
He also pleaded guilty to manslaughter, in relation to the death of a fellow prisoner.
EARLIER – Police investigating the death of a woman at Norman Park in Brisbane’s east on Tuesday, have released the image of a man who may be able to assist with their investigations.
Around 3.30am police were called to a residence at Milsom Street where they discovered the body of a 34-year-old woman.
Police say Smith is known to stay at various locations on the Gold Coast, including Coolangatta and Mudgeeraba.
