Gold Coast Schoolies make the most of ‘chill out’ night

It was a much quieter evening for police and paramedics in Surfers Paradise overnight.

Graduates made the most of chill out night on day four of schoolies celebrations, with the usual party precinct transformed with glow yoga and zumba, as well as a short film festival on the sand.

However, police still arrested five Schoolies, mainly for public nuisance. Of those arrested, four were male and one was female.

One schoolie was also issued with a liquor infringement notice.

Paramedics were a little busier, treating 48 people within the Ambulance Treatment Centre, with two Schoolies needing transport to hospital.

Of those assessed by paramedics, 27 were female and 21 were male.
