THE Queensland Government has conducted a review of Gold Coast speed limits with some significant changes for drivers.
Most top speeds will remain the same, but some changes will see road users forced to either slow down or speed up.
The 80km speed zone on Olsen Avenue between Smith Street and Southport-Nerang Road in Southport is to be reduced to 70km.

The existing 70km speed zone on Stewart Road between the Pacific Motorway and the Gold Coast Highway in Currumbin is to be increased to 80km.
Speed limit to be increased from 60km to 70km on the eastern 1.5km section of Williamson Road and the eastern 1.7km section of Greensward Road in Tamborine.
The speed limit is to be increased to 70km on Mudgeeraba Road between Worongary Road and Gooding Drive, Mudgeeraba.
Changes will happen progressively and are set to be complete by late August.
