Gold Coast teen accused of breaking into home, stealing car

A 19-year-old man is due to face court today after allegedly breaking into a house at Robina and stealing a car.

Gold Coast police confirmed to myGC that the teen allegedly broke into the Kilburn Street home through a sliding door around 6.30pm on Wednesday.

He then grabbed a set of keys before taking off in one of the resident’s vehicles, which was found crashed nearby a short time later.


The young man allegedly fled the scene before being taken into custody on Robina Parkway.

He’s been charged with enter dwelling with intent and unlawful use of motor vehicle.

The man will appear in Southport Magistrates Court this morning.
