EARLIER @ August 15: A TEENAGER wanted for performing perverted acts in public on the Gold Coast has been arrested and charged with a string of offences, including attempted rape.

The 18-year-old is accused of performing a series of sexual acts in broad daylight in bushland at Varsity Lakes between April 2017 and July this year.

The most recent incident is alleged to have occurred on the corner of Castello Circuit and Tindari Place on Saturday, July 14.

It’s understood a woman in her 30s was jogging along a path when she was confronted by the 18-year-old allegedly masturbating in full view of her at about 10 o’clock in the morning.

It’s further alleged the teen then started to chase the woman and tried dragging her off the path and into the bushes as she attempted to run away.
