UPDATE @ 3.00PM | Trams have resumed between Helensvale and the Gold Coast University Hospital.
Services were suspended for a couple of hours after a car was found on tracks at Parkwood this afternoon.
Replacement buses had to be called in while the car was removed.

Translink advises that there may be some residual delays of around 5 minutes for those travelling south.
EARLIER @ 1.00PM | Gold Coast trams have been suspended this afternoon, after an incident near Parkwood station.
TransLink reports that there’s a car on the tracks near the station, which has affected the service in both directions.
Trams have been suspended between the Gold Coast University Hospital and Helensvale stations, with busses and alternative transport arranged.
Technicians and Queensland Police are en route.
