Gold Coast Treasure: Pat Morgan

Surfing and the Gold Coast go hand in hand, so it’s no surprise Pat Morgan has found his way on to our Gold Coast Treasure list.

The 75-year-old is a renowned surfboard shaper, with many of his unique boards ridden by champions of surf back in the day.

Morgan was known to experiment with surfboard shapes and is responsible for the development of the keel fin board.

Although no longer building boards, Morgan still surfs everyday at Rainbow Bay.
