Gold Coast Treasure: Warren Young

For over 40 years, Warren Young has been striving to keep Gold Coast beaches safe.

He began his professional lifeguarding career in 1973 and was stationed at Burleigh Heads. Two years later he was promoted to Chief Lifeguard, a position he has held ever since.

In an exclusive chat with myGC, Warren reveals what he loves about the Gold Coast and shares details about his decorated career.
