Gold Coast woman accused of stabbing man in the back

A WOMAN is behind bars after allegedly breaching a domestic violence order and stabbing a man during an incident in Labrador.

Police were called to a home on Pengana Street around 12.30am on Saturday for reports a man and woman were arguing.

It’s alleged the argument escalated and the 58-year-old woman stabbed the man, 64, twice in the back with a knife.

The man suffered serious injuries and was transported to the Gold Coast University Hospital.

Police have confirmed that the pair are known to each other.

The woman was charged with unlawful wounding and breach of a domestic violence order.

She will remain in custody to appear in the Southport Magistrates Court later today.

so as woman that only 2 charges? wow, thats like 13 for men, plus the jail time, then prision, got off lite.
