Gold Coast woman who led police on dangerous car chase released on bail

A SOUTHPORT woman involved in a wild crime spree across the Gold Coast in May has been released on bail after serving only 6 months behind bars.

Sarah Jane Boyd, 28, lead police on a dangerous and wild car chase from Surfers Paradise to Pacific Pines with her 19-year-old coaccused Joel Gillard.

The duo were accused of attacking a taxi driver with a tomahawk and robbing a Pacific Pines service station before the pursuit took place.

Boyd was also responsible for a second police pursuit the following night.

The Southport Magistrate granted bail to Boyd this morning under multiple conditions.

A few being that she reside in Raceview, abide by a curfew, have no contact with her coaccused and submit to urine testing.
