Gold Coast residents may have found themselves reaching for an extra blanket this morning, with temperatures plummeting across the city.
Canungra residents woke to one of the coldest mornings of the year, with the mercury dropping to an icy -4.2C at 6.30 AM.
On the Southern Gold Coast, people in Coolangatta shivered through 3.3C at 4.30am.

West of the coast, Beaudesert plummeted to -3.6 degrees, while Warwick dropped to a freezing cold low of -4.3 at 5.30am.
At the time of writing (7.00am), the Gold Coast Seaway was a little warmer at 8.7C.
The temps are expected to rise this morning, with an expected top of 23 degrees predicted for today.
