The Gold Coast was well represented at last night’s Queensland Music Awards, taking home multiple accolades.
The awards took place at the Royal International Convention Centre at the Brisbane Showgrounds to a sold out crowd.
Nightquarter has taken home ‘Regional Venue of The Year’, in what’s being called a ‘triumph for live music’.

The community rallied hard for the beloved venue, that sadly had to close earlier this year due to skyrocketing rent at their Helensvale location.
Gold Coast’s own Amy Shark performed at the awards ceremony, before taking home the ‘Singer Songwriter Award’ for ‘I Said Hi’.
She also earned an acknowledgement for ‘Highest Selling Single’, and her debut ‘Love Monster’ was recognised as the ‘Highest Selling Album’ in Queensland.
The upcoming Blues on Broadbeach Music Festival was also pretty popular with voters – taking home runner up for the ‘Festival of the Year’ award in the People’s Choice category.
