Here’s your chance to name a park!
Kingscliff’s new central park will open in March next year, and the Tweed Shire Council is asking us what it should be called.
But before you try to get it named after yourself or your pet, the Council’s policy says names of people who are alive won’t be considered. Also, if it’s named after a person, they must have made a significant contribution to the Tweed Shire – whether socially, economically, through sport or cultural development.

Other options could be “locally occurring indigenous flora or fauna or other descriptive elements that relate directly to Tweed Shire.”
