Greens Councillor Katie Milne has been re-elected as the Mayor of Tweed for the next two years.
Councillor Milne was returned to the top job after winning the Mayoral election at an Extraordinary Meeting of Council on Thursday afternoon.
Two other councillors, Warren Polglase and James Owen, were also nominated for the position of Mayor.

It will be Councillor Milne’s third term as Mayor, after holding the position from September 2015 to September 2016 in the previous Council and for the last two years in the current Council.
Councillor Chris Cherry was elected unopposed to the position of Deputy Mayor, making it an all-female leadership team.
She will remain in the position for a year.
