POLICE have arrested a man after seizing three guns, a cross-bow, bullet proof vest, meth and ammunition during raids in the New South Wales Hunter region this morning.
Detectives from the Firearms and Organised Crime Squad raided two properties on Maize Street, Tenambit, around 6am on Friday as part of an ongoing investigation.
During a search of the properties, officers located and seized three guns, including a loaded .32 calibre revolver; a shortened shotgun; and a shortened .22 calibre rifle.

Other items seized include a cross-bow; a ballistics vest; a small quantity of methylamphetamine; and, more than 50 rounds of ammunition.
A 30-year-old man – who resides in one of the properties – was arrested at the scene and taken to Maitland Police Station.
He’s been charged with a long list of offences including three counts of unauthorised possession of a firearm; two counts of unauthorised possession of a prohibited firearm; and one count each of unauthorised possession of a pistol and ammunition.
He was refused bail and appeared in Maitland Local Court where he was again refused bail to re-appear on Monday, October 13.
