Hobbit video a winner for Air NZ

SEEMS people from all over the world just can’t get enough of small people with furry feet.

In one week, 16 million have tuned in to watch Air New Zealand’s latest Hobbit-themed inflight safety video, according to Yahoo.

The tongue in cheek footage, titled “An Unexpected Briefing” runs for four-minutes and was released last Thursday.

Hobbit stars Elijah Wood, Dean O’Gorman and Sylvester McCoy all make an appearance.

Yahoo reported that the video has already racked up eight million views on YouTube, six million on Facebook, and 1.6 million on China’s Youku within a week of release.

The video comes ahead of the December release of the final film in The Hobbit trilogy, The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies.

Over 12 million people viewed Air NZ’s 2012 offering, An Unexpected Briefing.
