Hundreds Expected to Plant Trees at The Spit

Today is National Tree Day, with locals encouraged to get ‘digging and planting’.

A tree-planting session is being held at The Spit this morning, just opposite the Sea World entrance, starting at 8am.

Friends of Federation Walk is hoping to have at least two-hundred people attend, breaking last year’s record of 150. They suggest tree-planters wear sun protective clothes and sturdy shoes, and bring lots of enthusiasm!
