HUNDREDS of local V8 fans have gathered at Jupiters Hotel & Casino for the V8 Supercars business leaders’ charity lunch today, on the eve of the Castrol EDGE Gold Coast 600.
V8 Supercar drivers and Miss V8 Supercar girls mingled with guests before sitting down to enjoy a two-course lunch, beverages and entertainment from comedian Paul Martell.
V8 Supercars chief operating officer Shane Howard said the event was a great opportunity for Australia’s premier motorsport category to engage with local and interstate business people ahead of the City’s largest annual event. “The V8 Supercars in Business Lunch is a great way for our teams and drivers to engage with the business community and share what our company and sport is all about,” said Mr Howard. “The Castrol EDGE Gold Coast 600 is one of our signature events. It is set along one of Australia’s most iconic tourist destinations and it’s fantastic that Ray White Surfers Paradise has partnered with us for this opportunity.
