More than 600 homes are without power in Burleigh Waters this afternoon after a car crashed into a power pole.
The accident happened at the intersection of Bermuda Street and Christine Avenue just after 12.30pm on Wednesday.
Emergency crews are on scene, however it’s not known how many people, if any, have been injured.

The crash has knocked out power to 604 homes and businesses in the area.
“A vehicle has damaged Energex equipment,” the cause of the outage posted on the Energex website reads.
Energex says crews are on scene working to restore power, however it’s not known how long that may take.
It comes after a truck crashed into a tree which brought down powerlines in Main Beach earlier this morning.
A number of homes still remain without power in the beachside suburb.
